Ever since I can remember I was afraid of life. I was diagnosed with anxiety and panic disorder at 6 years old and spent years trying to overcome this with little success.
In 2016, I picked up a mandala colouring book and fell in love with these circular figures. Mandala art is used in buddhist and hindu religions to represent the inner journey of healing. They are used a lot in meditation and yoga practices as the intricate details and repetitive patterns are used to help calm the mind.
I fell in love with mandala art and taught myself how to draw. Creating art makes me feel calm and relaxed and has helped me overcome my anxiety. I hope my art brings this same feeling to you in your home as it does when I create it.
